As well as the general ethical policy it is very important to me how the staff are treated (I'm not now or ever been employed by Co-op, I just believe in 'do as you would be done by'). I never knowingly trade with companies that have non-UK call centres. I always try to trade with companies that treat their staff how I want/expect to be treated.

I will switch to Nationwide if Co-op does not maitain ethical policy

Whilst the Nationwide is a good building society, and my wife and I have a joint account there, I wanted a bank with more definitive ethical policies.

I dont feel the survey feflects honestly the quantity of intellectuals who exist; and, feel ethicaly obliged to maintain our own consciences through the actions of our bank.................
